Len Filomeo scanned these copies of three issues of the J-News newsletter from Cal Poly's Journalism Department. Len wrote (in August, 2007):

Here are a few issues of J-News from the 1980s that I was able to preserve. Madolyn Nix kept me on the mailing list for these, even though I was an electrical engineering major and not in the J department. The journalism alumni from the 80s probably have more issues of J-News frequented around their college memorabilia. Maybe some of them will turn up.

J-News featured updates on the J department alumni and included stories about the faculty and staff, including the memorial issue for Ed Zuchelli in October 1986. One of the most interesting things about the March 1983 issue is the cover picture of a young George Ramos, the current head of the Journalism Department, along with Nina Zacuto and John Healy.
